As one of the greatest voices that kick-started the Latin dance music explosion in Miami in the 1980s and 1990s and beyond, Cali Aleman stood out for his impassioned delivery and powerful stage presence. He recorded and with some of the biggest names in Latin music including Johnny Pacheco, Eddie Palmieri and the famous Fania All-Stars. When backed by a cadre of some of the best musicians on the scene - most notably the Original Latin All-Stars, the combination was unbeatable. In 1997, Cali and The Original Latin All Stars recorded one of the most definitive versions of the world-wide hit "Macarena." Fellow Miamians, the South Beach Rockstars have delivered a percussion heavy Disko Remix of the iconic track featuring Cali's passionate vocals and the unmistakable energy of The Original Latin All Stars, to bring this time-honored track forward for the new generation living their lives on social media.
